Vacancy Bell is a free Android app by Only Software, a brand of LUZZAN PRIVATE LIMITED. This page explains what data the app uses and why. No account is required and we do not sell personal data.
What the app does with your data
- Vacancy Bell is not a government app and is not linked to any government body. It lists public notices from official websites so you can find them; always check the official notice before you apply.
- To show the job list, the app downloads it from GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com). Like any website, GitHub sees your IP address and basic request details; the app sends no personal data with these requests.
- Your details for the eligibility check (date of birth, qualification, category, state, gender), saved posts, reminders and settings are stored only on your phone and are never uploaded.
- Reminders and new-post alerts are notifications created on your phone. About every 3 hours the app checks the job list in the background to find new posts; you can turn this off in Settings.
- If you use Report a mistake, the app sends the post's id, the reason you pick, the note you type, the time and a random anonymous id, so we can correct the listing. Please do not put personal details in the note. Reports use Google Firebase (Anonymous Authentication and Realtime Database); data is sent encrypted (HTTPS). See Privacy and Security in Firebase. Reports are kept only until we review them.
Everything else you create in the app stays on your phone. We do not run our own servers and we never receive, sell or share it. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android Settings deletes it.
Ads
This version of the app shows no ads and does not use your advertising ID. If a later version adds ads, this page will be updated before that version is released.
Children
The app is not made for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Security and deletion
Anything the app sends over the internet is encrypted in transit. Data on your phone is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
